Mosaics - Party
The mosaic parties are perfect for both girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 12.
I travel to your home or party venue, usually on the weekends but sometimes during the week if you book early enough.
I provide precut mosaic tiles in an assortment of colours, shapes and textures, and precut wooden shapes to mosaic onto - such as hearts, stars, birds, flowers, butterflies and trees.
The mosaics provide up to 2 hours of entertainment, and the mosaic is the "party pack" the children make themselves and get to take home. First the children choose their shapes and mosaic tiles. Then they get a practice round during which I try to teach them as much as I can, providing samples, drawings and photographs for inspiration. I try to coax out the best work of art from each child.
When they are satisfied with their design I apply glue, a bit at a time as it dries quite quickly, and they start the mosaic.
I recommend that they work at a table and chairs, but a big floor space will also do.
It is best to start the mosaics straight away to give it the maximum time to dry before the children take them home.
A small take-home-kit of grout is provided for the children/parents to finish off the mosaic at home if they want to (very quick & easy).
This cannot be done on the same day as the glue for the mosaic tiles need to dry for about a day first.
